how to instill a love of skiing into your precious little mice... join an english speaking mini team
with 20 years of experience we think we’ve got it right!
for 4 and 5 year olds from total beginners to those envialbe level 2’s who seemingly fearless, bomb down most things in an energetic snow plough. we take small groups of between 3 to 6 children for a couple of hours every morning. The meeting point is at the bottom of the rhodos bubble at le chaudanne and our adventure with them starts straight off with a ride in the bubble to our very own 'Magic Garden'.
safely off the beaten track, the little mice are gently introduced to the pleasure of snow and how best to get about on it, with music and a fun atmosphere. The garden also has a small chalet to rest or warm up in if needs be and is opposite a restaurant where our teaching assistant can take any little ones that might need a loo stop.
unlike other schools out there there is no endless side stepping up the slope, we have our own magic carpet (travelator) to take the hard work out of it all, leaving more time for sliding down the hill (that's the fun part after all!). with the help of the teaching assistant our friendly instructors coax them through hoops and cones teaching the control and skills needed for the next step… out onto the gentle beginners slopes of the altiport. as soon as they're up to it, we're off on discovery and fun through the forest's gently meandering animal trail or for the more adventurous, little humps and bumps to explore on the short cuts through the trees, where they can meet mr fox, mrs deer and all their mountain friends.
at the end of the week there's fun and games with catch the magic mouse (our giant orange mascot) when the mouse gets caught she gives up her bounty of sweets and their well earned medals... the highlight of the week and a great experience to go home with...
if you were hoping to take them on a one off skiing holiday... sorry, we think they’ll probably be hooked!
a meribel lift pass is needed for the lessons. this is free for the under 5’s (but you will need to take proof of age when you pick up their pass)
tears are quite normal when you leave the young ones at th beginning of the week, but it doesn’t last long so please feel free to go off and have fun (they will be) we know that parents love to watch their children's progress but it can be off putting and lead to more tears if they spot you, so should you wish to watch please come camouflaged as a fir tree, snowman or some such thing!
